Analog 1, Digital 0 (no pun intended)

I recently found a single-use camera lying around the house. I mailed it to Shutterfly and had the film developed. I did not recognize any of the people in the pictures, but it looked like they were having a good time.

well_lahdidah recognized the pictures, though: they were photos from Reed College's 2003 Renn Fayre.

I am amazed that the film was still good and that light hadn't leaked in through the battered camera case. What's even more amazing is how few working electronics I own that are 5 years old or older:
  1. A neglected Gameboy Color
  2. Alarm Clock
  3. Microwave Oven
  4. Stereo Receiver
  5. Phonograph
Maybe I'm exaggerating, but that feels like it.

I'm hardly suggesting a return to film, but I'll give it points for durability.
